Myrtle Beach Yarn Shop

While in Myrtle Beach I visited a yarn shop in N. Myrtle Beach called "Knitting Up A Storm." It was really a great yarn shop. I will over the next few days post pics I took of the store. I took a total of 18. These are the first 4 that I will post. Don't want to bore you all with 18 pics in one post ::snort::, These are the area where the owner has her patterns--and a really lovely selection of patterns I must say. I did buy a pattern book of felted purses with some really great patterns in it. I will post about 4 pics a post. If I have time will do another post later today. The owner declined to have her pic taken and put on the blog--but says that she does welcome the free advertizing..LOL..I do want to add that when I start posting the other pics that they are of all different yarn bins. The store was huge and very clean and neat and organized, unlike a lot of other yarn shops I have been in. Tons and tons of name brand quality yarns. So if you are ever in the Myrtle Beach area it is a great shop to visit. It came highly recommended by Nightshiftknitter

I agree with all you said, however I feel I must warn anyone who crochets about this place. Do not mention the word crochet, owner does not carry any crochet hooks, patterns, etc. If you mention crochet she will tell you about her knitting classes, turn her nose up at you and wait on you only if absolutely necessary.
If forced to wait on you, she will provide running dialogue about how much more superior knitting is to crochet. I'm very disappointed she doesn't want my business because it is the only yarn shop in local area. She has lost a lot of business with this attitude.

You need to go to knit-n-purl in carolina forest near the 31 exit ramp off on grissom and right at the corner of carolina forest and river oaks behind the kangaroo gas station they embrace the crocheter and encourage combo projects using both or just crocheting

I went to the one in Carolina Forest when we were there in 2011. Great store.
