There Really Was Some Knitting

Yes there really was some knitting--just not much time for blogging. Hubby is doing better. Saw the nurse practitioner yesterday and he does seem to be in a normal heart rhythm with a much lower rate and is not holding water. He has not had the need to take the as needed lasix and that is good. They also decreased his amiodarone dose to 4oo mg. daily. That is the good news. He will see the doc in 4 to 6 weeks and we will go from there. Thanks again for all the healing thoughts and prayers, they were truly appreciated.

The scarf is the Irish Hiking Scarf made with Red Heart Soft Yarn in the color off white on size #9 needles. The third one I've made. The pattern can be found here. I made most of this while sitting with hubby in hospital.

Then there is the lacy round dishcloth. I had previously made a white one. I did this one at home while hubby was in the hospital. I made it from peaches and cream ombre--from a 16 oz. cone so there is plenty left. I have forgotten the colorway and the label is long lost. The pattern can be found here.

And last but not least. I worked on these socks in the evenings while he was in the hospital and finished them shortly after he came home. The are the 56 stitch 56 row sock from Chic Knits. I do modify the pattern somewhat. The pattern can be found here. They are made with Plymout Sockotta sock yarn The Italian Collection in color # 363.

So, you see we always make some use of down time--even though it isn't much. Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to read some blogs and comment. I sure have missed doing that. This week was really busy. I hope to see some of my family next week. Happy knitting.

Good to hear that he's continuing to recover well. Reducing the meds sounds like a good sign. You can relax a bit now. Hope you are having a wonderful 4th of July.

You've been busy lately! I haven't yet worked up to knitting socks, however I have knit those other two. I love that lacy round dishcloth, I've made so many of them. Not only for myself, but also for my mom and for my mom to use for gifting too. Well, I also knit a lot of the scarf too, it was my first cable scarf when I learned how to knit and I knit tons of them as gifts that first Christmas. My 3AM Cable Hat is a good complement to the scarf as it uses the same 3-over-3 cable cross every 8th row; I've never really advertised it as an "Irish Hiking Hat", even though it goes well together.

Hi, Chris!

I'm glad that Dave is doing better. Sounds like things are going in the right direction - you have both been in my prayers.

Great FO's! I've been wanting to knit the Irish Hiking Scarf, and seeing yours has inspired me to save the pattern so I can print it and perhaps knit this weekend!

Have a great rest of the weekend, my friend.

I'm thankful he's recovering! I'm happy you have been able to knit. When I'm stressed I can't seem to find it in me to pick up the needles.

I'm glad your husband is doing okay. My husband had a PICC line in last year when he was on IV antibiotics at home.

Your finished projects look great!
