Loop Stitch Booties

These are really adorable in person. I crocheted these for a friend's daughter, who is needless to say, having a girl. Made from an oop of print pattern in the original Spinnerin Book "Wee Moderns." Made with Bernat Baby fingering weight yarn color pink rose.

Just a quick health update for family readers. I have had a cold for a week now--and it is worse today than the day I got it--so I am going to Dr. this afternoon. Dave had a Dr, appt. also-so even though I don'[t feel like it-I will be driving myself. I hate to take antibioitics--but I venture to guess that I will be taking them. This will be the 5th time I have had to call off in 3 months--so I could be put into procedure--Since until last Nov. I almost never call off maybe they will be lenient. We shall see. If Dr. could have seen me this morning I probably would have worked--cuz that's what I do. Happy Knitting to all.

another scarf view and a dishcloth

Just a slightly better view of the scarf than the previous pic. It is really 60" long, just scrunched up so I could get it all in the pic. And I can't seem to stay away from that petal dishcloth.

New Scarf

How pretty is this. It is the Misty Garden Scarf from the book Scarf Style. I made it out of Handdyed Blue Faced Leicester DK weight dyed--bluey blues. I purchased it from Amanda (NHknittingmama) at her etsy shop--go here. It is called a finished object. WooHoo!! Happy knitting!

Happy Birthday Kelly

Photobucket

Today is my oldest daughter's birthday. She and I, my mom and my middle daughter all went out to lunch yesterday to celebrate. My baby daughter had a stomach virus and couldn't come. We all had a great time. I didn't get to see any of the grandkids, but it was great nonetheless. If ya all wanna wish her a happy birthday, her blog is here. Happy Birthday Kelly!!

I've Been Tagged!!

My daughter went and tagged me. At least it is a fun--quick one. The Rules--1. Pick up the nearest book of 123 pages. 2.Open the book to page 123 and find the 5th sentence. 3. Post the next 3 sentences. 4. Tag 5 people My computer is in my husband's office and this book has been laying around in the office so I picked it up. It is "A Good Yarn" by Debbie Macomber. Great book.

Sentences 6 t0 9 on page 123 are as follows: This year was destined to be the longest of all their lives. The only problem with living in Seattle was that Courtney still hadn't met anyone her age. After that one disaster, when she'e run into all those sleek bodied girls from the swim team, she'd avoided the pool on Mondays and Wednesdays--which was when the team practiced.wow that was really a long 6th sentence. And this is really a wholesome book that I would rate "G"

I tag
1. Grace Y. Grace don't feel you have to do this anytime soon--I know how sick you have been.
2.Gnat Ooooh I know how busy you are.
3. April I know you're a great sport.
4.Jane--I know you are a reader.
5. and last but not least Eileen--what a great knitter you are.

Thanks to all. Have a great day.

FOs

Well, obviously, I like making the petal dishcloth. On the needles I have a pair of Fetchings, a semi lace scarf, and a pair of socks. Always seem to have 3 or 4 projects going at once. Monday will be a family day. Hope to remember my camera and have some pics. Weather yesterday was terrible here--got to drive to work in mountains of snow and home from work in freezing drizzle. But made it safe and sound. Recuperating today from working yesterday--anymore, work just wears me out. Might have something to do with the fact that I hit the floor at 1:45 pm yesterday and never sat down until I hit the car at 10:50 pm. Ah well, it pays well and helps pay the bills--I am grateful to have a good job. I remember the days that I didn't have a good job. And I know that there are many, many people that don't have good jobs. I truly have a lot to be grateful for. Happy knitting.

Oops Forgot This One

I have a few things on the needles. Gotta have at least 2 or 3 things going at once, right? This is the Gossamer Shell Scarf from the book 101 One Skein Wonders Yarn Shop Favorites. I am making it from some Trekking Yarn I had in my stash. I will venture into something a little more lacey after this is done. Happy Knitting!
