Towel Toppers

And last but not least--I crocheted a coupla towel toppers. I cut dishtowels in half and zigzag the edges so they don't fray then use a pattern of my own to make the toppers and add buttons to hang where you want. It is great to not use the towels that dry the dishes to dry your hands.

How About A Coupla More Dishcloths

Love the Petal discloth in blues and browns. So fast and easy to do. I saw it on Amanda's blog and finally made it. The pattern can be found here. And gotta love the snowman dishcloth. Hope you can see the snowman. My picture taking skills are not wonderful--just not that patient. The pattern can be found to purchase here. You will need to scroll down the page to see it. Only $2 and she takes paypal. Happy knitting

Finished Object

And the sweater is finished. The belt was the most boring part--300 rows of ribbing. Can't wait to take pics on the model.

There's Always Next Year

Just a coupla Cleveland Browns ballband dishcloths. Their favorite saying is "There's always next year." But we are die hard Browns fans.

1. This is my daughter one of the loves of my life.

2. One of the sweetest gals I've met in the blog community. Keep on trudgin April

3. Gnat will be getting married soon. Shares so much with all of us. Thx Gnat

4. Met this one through my daughter's blog. She was one of the first to comment on my new blog in August. She is also a new knitter and doing very well. She is also a N-E-W Knitter--meaning northeast Wisconsin.

5. Amanda has a little boy and a new baby girl. Her knitting is beautiful--though I wonder how she finds time to knit and spin. Gotta go visit her too.

6. Jane is a lovely school teacher who knits. She has some very athletic grandchildren and always brightens my day.

7. Sue here knits and quilts--has had a rough winter--and is planning a wedding with her daughter. What great fun.

8. Leslie knits some beautiful items and very quickly I might add. You should visit her flicker site. She is also a great photographer.

Alli's sweater

Well the sweater I am making my grandaughter is almost done. Pics aren't the greatest, but the sweater is not too bad considering it has been over 20 years since I have knitted a sweater. I still have to make the pockets and sew them on and make the belt--it is a wrap sweater. Can't wait to see it on the model. Was considering belt loops, but since there are no side seams, I am afraid they would tear the sweater---soooooo---no belt loops.

I did have to call off work Sat. with my eye, but it is greatly improved today. Thank you all for your comments and thoughts and prayers. My nursing supervisor took really good care of me. She called me today and told me she replaced me for tomorrow and took me off the schedule--so it would not be a call off. Thank you, thank you, thank you--I really don't think I am quite ready to work. I will go back Wed. Happy Knitting

Contest

Great give aways in a great contest. Go and visit Ridiculous Obsession. Tell her I sent ya. Thanks and happy knitting

Why no blog.

Long time no blog. Sorry no pics today. First time this week I have really been in front of the computer. I went to visit with my family on Monday and really had a great day. Had lunch with my mom, my middle daughter and her 5 year old daughter. It was great. Then we all trekked over to see youngest daughter and of course little Joey. And of course I forgot my camera. He is really growing fast--as they do. My eyes for some reason were super light sensitive--and they remained that way Tuesday. I had appt. with my opthamologist Wed. to have my annual diabetic retina check up and when I got up Wed. morning my right eye was bloodshot watery and hurting. The good news is it is not an infection--but an abrasion of some sort--who knows why. Had to call off work Thurs. It is improving slowly and hopefully I can work Sat. If not there is always Monday. I cannot believe how miserable you can feel when an eye hurts. And how light sensitive both eyes are because of one eye. This is the first day I have been able to do much of anything on the computer. Lots of catching up to do. I have knitted a few more dishcloths. Have the wrap sweater that I started for my 5 year old grandaughter on the run. I can at least knit in dim light. Will take pics later--hopefully finished and with a model. I have been trying to knit a lace scarf with some Knitpicks risata I have in my stash but have frogged it about 8 times--I figure God is telling me to finish the sweater beore spring gets here and she can still wear it. Finally got Megans hat in the mail to Amanda. I am sure she will get a bunch of really nice hats. Hope that they help to cheer her up. Also got some yarn from Amanda's Etsy Shop and I love what I got. Probably will make scarves from both skeins. One is Smoke fingering wt. and one is Bluey blues double knit wt. Really nice yarn. You can visit her etsy shop here. Well happy knitting to all.
